What's New
The following features are available in this version that were not available
in the previous versions:
In version 5.2.0:
- More than one person can now open the same file at the same time. Only the
first person will be able to save changes to the file. The rest be able to
open the file as read-only ('[Read-Only]' will appear in the window title).
- The default format can be set for Rich text pages in the
Options, but will not
automatically change the format of existing pages
- The 'Show/Hide Page Pane' menu has been changed to 'Auto Hide Page Pane',
which means that the page pane will shrink until you move the mouse
cursor over it, which will enlarge it to the normal size. This setting
is saved in the file.
- After saving, your name will appear as the last person who last saved the file
in the File
Properties dialog box
- Identified bugs were fixed
In version 5.1.1:
- When renaming certain pages that require a file extension, this is
retained even if you do not type the extension yourself. This
is to prevent crashes, which used to occur when the extension was omitted.
In version 5.1.0:

- Files other than .nbk files can be opened e.g. .txt files
- Author name associated with open files and stored in file
- Pictures, sounds and other files can be edited with their associated
programs and are automatically imported back into the file
- Added 'Comments' column, which is used to store further information about
the page. The column can be renamed to suit the file.
In version 4.2.11:
- Support for HTML
- Support for pictures (.gif, .jpg, .png and .bmp)
- Support for sound (.mp3, .mid, .wav and .wma)
- Can store files, some of which can be viewed e.g. if you insert a .zip
file and you have compressed folders installed, it can be viewed with
NoteBook otherwise it will be opened with WinZip or whatever .zip program
you use.
- Files are written in a binary format, which is a lot quicker
- Password protection
- New icons, which I designed myself
